Mike Shields has worked in the digital media world for over two decades. After starting his career as a media planner at Ammirati Puris Lintas, Shields transitioned to become a journalist, covering the evolution of the digital ad industry for publications such as Adweek, Digiday, the Wall Street Journal and Business Insider. Since 2018, Shields has operated his an independent analyst/consultant, hosting the Next in Media podcast while publishing the corresponding newsletter.
