As Senior Vice President, Content Acquisition and Partnerships, Samuel Harowitz leads all
content partnerships at Tubi, including third-party licensed programming acquisitions, original
content, and off platform content distribution. He oversees partnerships with indie producers and
licensors, major studios, global indies and brands. In addition, Harowitz manages international
content acquisitions, sports, and FAST channels.
Harowitz has been instrumental in helming the expansion of Tubi’s industry-leading content
library of more than 275,000 movies and TV series episodes. Most recently, he secured several
premium TV series titles for the platform including Empire, La Brea, Gossip Girl, Grown-ish and
Scandal, original programming such as Boarders, Big Mood, and Dead Hot, and a deal with
Warner Bros Discovery for various DC films and series. Harowitz also supported Tubi’s recent
launch in the UK, ensuring a robust offering from major studios, global indies, and local content.
Before Tubi, Harowitz oversaw TV content acquisitions at Freevee fkna IMDb TV (Amazon’s
AVOD service) where he led third-party licensed programming and optimized its first run
licensing program. During his time, he also managed all aspects of content selection, financial
analysis and forecasting, and led relationships with studios, global indies and third-party
producers.
Previously, Harowitz served as Vice President, Digital Content Licensing at A+E Networks,
where he was charged with licensing programming to SVOD and AVOD platforms and led
partner management of digital and OTT platforms. Prior to that, he held roles as Senior Vice
President, Development and Production at Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky’s Is or Isn’t
Entertainment and Vice President, Acquisitions and Co-Productions at FremantleMedia.
